PHYSIOTHERAPY

Introduction
Our Physiotherapy department first started in November 2009 headed by a trained physiotherapist. We began with basic equipments and slowly but surely, our physiotherapy department grew and today we have an advanced physiotherapy setup.

Selection of students who need physiotherapy
Depending on the assessment of every student, the physiotherapist decides if the kid needs therapy and prepares a time slot for them. The initial assessment is based on delayed developmental milestones, fine motor difficulties, and gross motor difficulties. Every student is characterized as either a mild, moderate or severe disability. Depending on the need for physiotherapy, a timetable is designed wherein severe disability students are given a time slot everyday, moderate disability on alternate days and mild disability once a week.

The Physiotherapy sessions are conducted one student at a time. We also insist the parents accompany the student during the sessions in order to observe the exercises properly and actively be able to participate and do the exercises at home.
